Design Structures, LLC Weekly Report Project: Hood River Alliance Church Location: Hood River, Oregon Week of: December 3, 2007 – Weeks 6 Report Date: December 7, 2007 WEEKLY PROGRESS: a. Completed installation of the Storm Tech system. b. Received delivery of additional framing material. c. Began formwork for the concrete foundation walls. d. Cut an access hole in the fellowship hall floor for access into the crawl space. e. Mobilized equipment to begin framing exterior walls. SCHEDULE STATUS: a. Begin framing exterior walls in the parking lot. b. Begin formwork for the concrete foundation walls. c. Begin excavation for the Outdoor Play Area retaining wall footings. d. Begin plumbing underground rough-in. e. Begin electrical underground rough-in. f. Install the fire riser. g. Install a new sanitary sewer line. ISSUES AND CHALLENGES: a. Due to weather conditions we were required to pump water out of the basement throughout the week. b. Rick Williams (Design Structures) met with Dave Hyskell (The City of Hood River) and determined that we will be required to have a vault for the water. c. It is possible that we will not be allowed to hang a transformer from the existing power pole located north of the parking lot. Rick Croy may require the transformer to be set on a vault near Randt Road. We will work with Rick Croy to see if we can get this issue resolved. ISSUES RELATED TO COSTS: a. In our meeting with the audio/visual contractor it was determined that we will need to design the roof truss system to accommodate his point load needs. We will have pricing for the new truss design once the structural engineer determines the requirements. b. In order to gain access to the basement there will be additional costs to accommodate for ADA requirements. PHOTOS (see attached):
