Tim Saur, Pastor timsaur@hoodriveralliance.org
Hood River Alliance Church warmly welcomed us to town in September of 1996 when I was called to be pastor. Marily and I have found this church to be a nurturing community of faith. If I had to describe our church in a sentence it would be difficult, but I'll try. Hood River Alliance Church is a worshiping community where each person is valued, built up in the faith, and encouraged to become an intregal part of a small community group as we together live for God as followers of Jesus Christ.
One of my passions is seeing people "fly" in their area of service. We are committed to building up and equipping each person to serve. Sometimes this service is within the church community, and sometimes it's outside the church community, but it's always serving in Jesus' name. We desire to touch a significant percentage of the mid-Columbia area. We do this through our Spanish- and English-speaking congregations, youth ministries, children's ministries, women & men's ministries, recovery groups, community groups and weekend services - and by each attendee being intentional in loving their friends and neighbors.
If you are looking for a place to find faith in Jesus Christ, grow in your faith, or to serve along side other followers of Christ in community, we'd love for you to join us. |

Steve Grace, Associate Pastor stevegrace@hoodriveralliance.org
"My family and I are so excited to be part of the family here at Hood River Alliance Church. Since coming on staff in June of 2004, we have been blessed to see the body of Christ functioning in their gifts and making a difference in this community for Christ. My responsibilities at the church include Small Group Ministry and Men's Ministry. I have a passion for seeing believers involved in Active Christian Community where they can be challenged and built up to become fully devoted followers of Christ."

Lud Tolbert, Pastoral Assistant "I was brought on staff to assist where needed, but to primarily be responsible for three areas of ministry: Adult Sunday School, Recovery Ministries(drug & alcohol, men struggling with sexual inappropriate behavior and their wives, divorce care, etc.), and finally the area of "Assimilation", which is defined as attracting & evangelizing people, getting them involved in relationships, growing them in their faith and helping them to serve in some form of ministry." |

I am thankful for all that God is doing here at HRAC in Children's Ministries. He supplies us with wonderful volunteers who love children and desire to help them to know and love Jesus. It is so fun for me to see all those little smiles buzzing through our hallways eager to be see their teachers and to learn more about God. It is fun to work in a community filled with love and laughter and learning. |

Kim Spotts, Elementary Coordinator kimspotts@embarqmail.com
"It is so much fun to have God use the gifts and talents he has given me in a church setting. I have worked in the public schools for twenty-two years and am loving the switch to doing more of God's work here at the church. I had learned enough about Jesus by the time I was five years old that I wanted him to be a part of my life. Although young, I prayed to ask Jesus into my life at that time.
God blessed me with great Bible teachers that challenged me to read and study the Bible for myself during my junior high and high school years. I began teaching children in Sunday School when I was 15 years old and am loving teaching children in our programs now. In my position in Children's Ministry I get to facilitate others (teachers and helpers) as we all help children get to know and love Jesus.
God is at work both here in our church and community and around the world!" |
