  • Discipleship Groups

I am becoming more and more convinced that in the busyness of our lives as moms, wives, co-workers, friends and so on, we make the most impact on our world not by what we say but by how we live.  Character counts…integrity matters…living a joy-filled life that loves well and serves others intentionally - that's the witness that speaks louder than anything coming out of our mouths.  When people look at our lives, can they tell that JESUS works - in the home, in the marketplace, in the everyday details of our lives?

So how do we get there? It won't happen accidentally, that's for sure!  It's something we're going to have to be very intentional about.  Sunday mornings and Thursday mornings are great places to connect and fellowship and receive teaching.  But the real work - the work that changes lives - that happens in small group discipleship.

Discipleship is where you commit to being in a group of ladies (usually 4-5) for a period of time (several months to a year) in order to take your faith walk to the next level.  We do this by reading and discussing the Bible (first and foremost) and also various books meant to instruct and encourage in the faith. Our plan is to offer 3 levels of discipleship this year:

  • 101 - meant for those who are relatively new to faith and need to work on the basics of WHAT do I believe and WHY? Click here to see 101 curriculum and to view Scripture reading plan.
  • 201 - meant for gals who may have been believers and/or church goers for awhile but need a little help getting what they believe up and really activated in their day to day living. Click here to see 201curriculum and to view Scripture reading plan.
  • 301 - this is called Leadership Discipleship, and it's for the really HUNGRY - those who are ready to think about and activate their faith and their ministry on a much broader level.  Click here to see 301 curriculum and to view Scripture reading plan.

We hope to have groups established and running by about mid-October with curriculum. If you are interested in either LEADING a group or being IN a group, please let Rhonda Fischer or the church office know - we'll be happy to hook you up.
